Chef Emily Proutt began working at Veritas in January 2016 as Sous Chef and transitioned to The Farmhouse in May of 2017. Previously she worked at Sandy Motley Catering in Charlottesville where she honed her culinary skills. Along with her love of cooking, she also has quite the travel bug and has even hiked The Great Wall of China! Emily is a Schuyler native and lives in Crozet with her sweet kitty, Sadie.
